Why I Absolutely Love Being an Angel Investor

Picking up trash probably isn't your idea of "living the good life." To be honest, it's not mine either.

Yet that's exactly what I used to do.

Now, here's why I'm saying this.

When I was 15 years old, I'd come home after school, quickly change into my work uniform, and rush over to my part-time job at Knott's Berry Farm amusement park, where I'd spend my "free time" picking up trash.

After collecting people's discarded soda bottles and cotton-candy sticks, I was often stuck cleaning the toilets or mopping up vomit outside of the most popular rides.

I remember carrying these big, industrial-sized garbage bags... when all of sudden they'd split open and cover me in disgusting, smelly trash - more than once, actually.

And then when I was done with that, I still had to dash home in time to finish my homework for school the next day. Remember: I was only 15!

Today, I've moved up in the world. I'm eternally grateful for that. And I'm proud to say I haven't had to pick up trash in years.

I'm not the wealthiest guy in the world. But I've done pretty well for myself, my family, and my charitable foundation.

Angel investing has played a big role in my story.
